What is the Enneagram?
The Enneagram is a personality typing tool that describes patterns in how people interpret the world and manage their internal programming. The Enneagram describes nine personality types and reveals how your core motivation affects your typical behavior patterns and thoughts.
Ennea is the Greek root for 9. When translated, Enneagram means “nine-sided drawing” (Ennea=9, gram=drawing).
The Enneagram puts personality structures into 9 basic ways of viewing the world and others through patterns in how you think, feel, and behave.
These patterns describe what people of each Type pay attention to, and what each Type believes we need for survival and satisfaction in life.
It can be transformational by providing self-awareness, life-changing insights, and a new level of understanding for yourself and everyone around you
At its simplest, the Enneagram is an ancient tool that reveals who you are and why you do what you do.
The Enneagram didn't create these personality Types, but it organizes and connects the Types.
It describes 9 ways of viewing the world and others. And it acknowledges and celebrates the differences in all 9 Types.
It’s a powerful transformation tool that shows you how your Core Motivations color the way you see yourself, others, and the world around you.

You may be surprised at how well it describes you when you see yourself through the lens of the Enneagram.
One huge benefit is that it can help you put words to your most basic desires, what makes you feel vulnerable, your underlying concerns, and so much more. It gives you a neutral language to use to talk about your "internal hardwiring" with others.
